(Week-14)

make 2 adjustments to my animation project: add wind sound and make the  pulsating loop representing a mountain god’s voice more 3 dimensional /write case study /upload both animatic and final movie of “The Sparrow and the Woodpecker” in YouTube /prepare for the final presentation

(Week-13)

make a few final adjustments to my animation project following Prof. Krikun’s advise: add sparrow’s squawk sound and also woodpecker’s tapping sound fit for their actions; make birds’ flight movements more natural in terms of up-and-down movement and flight track; create and swap sparrow’s bowing image for the much more humble one; the movement of leaf floating in the air and swinging down on the ground is achieved with transform tool and looping technique

(Week-12)

get Prof. Krikun’s comment on my draft animation project / follow her suggestions and accomplish my animation building / the basic process is as follows: adding transition between scenes, modifying timing of action, adding shadows, using motion tween instead of guide when needing mask, flattening or breaking part of images in one piece in order to fade in and out nicely, adding more key frames to make tween smoothly by transforming each of those key frames in angle, shape, emphasizing a certain action to make it more appealing,  etc.

(Week-11)

keep working on my folktale project / as mentioned before, the difficult part in my animation project is” lighting” of 3D object /one 0f  the solutions is the use of  Photoshop adjustments tool / when the brightness of a rendered 3D image does not fit in the 2D environment, this tool is a very convenient helping hand/ In rendering the 3D objects, of course, the big screen-sized image  will be a key to get the good outcome in 2D environment, because the 3D image is always 72 dpi and thus the image  in large size can be easily and proportionately shrunk without any loss of clear edge

(Week-10)

learn the importance of using “blue” pencil in making a rough drawing for animation/because the blue color is never picked up by scanner or copier, we can easily perfect our own art work with hard-edged pencil for the final drawing and copy or scan it/also learn how to reverse the action in the timeline /the key point is to copy the original action and paste tit after the original side by side, then highlight the pasted action,  convert the segment into all key frames and finally use the reverse frames command tool /keep working on my animation project

(Week-9)

focus more on my project and keep working on it /colorizing all background image from title to credit scenes /modify and adjust the scene images in color, size, and position /also modify and test the rendered 3D objects to sees how they fit in each scene in lighting, posture, and color / I have a feel for the right balance in utilizing 2 software programs

(Week-8)

learn how to zoom in/out a scene picture consisting of many instances in layers – 1) copy all layers and paste them into an empty key frame of a new symbol layer, 2) put an instance of this newly created symbol in one timeline layer, 3) because all ingredients of a scene picture is one key frame in one layer, it can easily be large or small; also learn bitmap fill and motion preset; working on colorizing the background each scene; review the assigned videos and answer the questions
